PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - A well-known Peoria tattoo artist accused of grooming a teenager was found guilty in court Wednesday.

The verdict for Mario Davis, the owner of Ink Capital in Peoria, comes less than a day after he took the stand to defend himself, accusing the victim’s sister of trying to destroy his life.

In court Wednesday, the prosecution and defense shared their closing arguments with the jury in the case involving Davis.

The prosecutor described Davis’ outcome as “you play a silly game, you win a silly prize.” They claimed Mario wasn’t framed, and he sent explicit Snapchat messages to a minor. The defense argued the opposite, saying the victim’s older sister was among a group of four trying to frame him. Stating that Davis did not engage in any solicitation.
