COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A new restaurant specializing in a popular Japanese street food is preparing for its grand opening on October 18. Tori Taiyaki in Colonie Center will serve up taiyaki desserts, bubble tea, and shaved ice.

Taiyaki is a tai fish-shaped cake, often filled with a sweet red bean paste and custard, or other savory fillings like sausage, cheese, or beef curry.
