CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) – College HUNKS Hauling Junk and Moving, in partnership with SAFE Shelter, turned their warehouse into a domestic violence lifeline for survivors.
On Wednesday, they offered free moving services to survivors as well as donated furniture and household items to victims and their families.
Former police officer and owner of College HUNKS, Zach Gilstrap, took note of the effects domestic violence has on families during his time as a police officer. This inspired him to gather the community and begin raising awareness through partnerships with other companies.
“No one individual or business can do everything, but if we all contribute something, we can make a really big impact together,” said Gilstrap.
