An incoming Metrolink train struck a stationary one at Union Station Los Angeles Wednesday morning, Oct. 8, injuring eight people, Metrolink said.
At around 7:30 a.m., the Ventura County Line train 104 collided with an unoccupied, non-moving train, Metrolink spokesperson Brett Hawkins said.
Seven passengers and the train’s conductor were injured, with one individual transported to the hospital for unknown injuries, said another agency spokesperson, Meredith Yeoman.
As a result of the crash, San Bernardino Line trains 310 and 327 were canceled. Beyond that, there was limited service impact, Yeoman said.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, Yeoman said, and no further details were immediately available.
