KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A new database of college football coaching salaries has revealed where Eli Drinkwitz, Lance Leipold and Chris Klieman rank among their peers.
According to USA Today Sports, Mizzou’s head coach Eli Drinkwitz is tied for the 10th-highest salary among college football coaches nationwide. USA Today said Drinkwitz is making $9 million per season with contract details that stipulate bonuses that could total up to $1.575 million.
Drinkwitz is tied with Ole Miss’ Lane Kiffin, Tennessee’s Josh Heupel and Kentucky’s Mark Stoops for the 10th spot in the rankings and that group trails Kirby Smart, Steve Sarkisian, Kalen DeBoer and Brian Kelly among SEC coaches.
