COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — As Hispanic Heritage Month continues, Wynnbrook Christian School held an event to showcase a variety of Latino cultures.
“We are not all Mexicans or just one unique culture, we are all individually beautiful and amazing,” said Wynnbrook student Cataliah Espnosa. “We are not one specific culture.”
Seventh and eighth graders at Wynnbrook Christian displayed their understanding of diversity by highlighting cultures from Panama, Bolivia and El Salvador.
Spanish teacher Deiry Stone said projects like this benefit everyone.
“The reason it’s very important is because this is how we learn about each other and where we’re from and what we do and how we eat, and how we are able to interact with each other,” Stone said.
