PHOENIX (AZFamily/AP) — As the ongoing government shutdown affects air travel around the United States, there is minimal impact being seen for travelers Phoenix.

Staffing shortages led to flight delays at airports across the U.S. on Tuesday as the federal government shutdown stretched into a seventh day, while union leaders for air traffic controllers and airport security screeners warned the situation was likely to get worse.

On Wednesday morning at Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix, around 12 flights were delayed, one was cancelled, and TSA wait times were 10 minutes or less. The airport saw around 50 delays throughout the day on Tuesday.
