CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- We’ve seen data center proposals all around the Queen City, in Mooresville, Statesville and Matthews, but none in the heart of the City of Charlotte -- until now.

Digital Trade Street 2 LLC has submitted a plan to the city to knock down the building at 725 E. Trade Street in Uptown, which is about 100 years old, and turn it into something new.
The building known as the Court Arcade, right across from the District Attorney’s Office, appears to be vacant right now, but the space could soon become what’s known as a data center.
