EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) -- A very unique musical play that incorporates imaginative and inventive puppeteering is coming to El Paso this weekend for the first time.

Created by Wakka Wakka Productions, a critically acclaimed nonprofit visual theatre company, "Dead as a Dodo" is an internationally acclaimed production that has played across the U.S. and Europe, and it is making a quick stop for one day in the Borderland.

There will be two showings of the play at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11, at the Plaza Theatre.

According to El Paso Live's website, this play is about "two skeleton friends, a Dodo and a boy, tirelessly dig for fresh bones. Their ancient skeletal forms are deteriorating, and without them, they will disappear completely. One day, something peculiar happens: The Dodo
