ST. PAUL, Minn. (KVRR/FOX 9) — Governor Tim Walz says his administration is bracing for the possibility of President Trump sending National Guard Troops to Minnesota.
Walz made the comments Tuesday at the Minnesota Star Tribune’s North Star Summit.
He was joined there by Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker who had troops from the Texas National Guard arrive in his state the same day.
The president has been sending troops to other cities across the country in an effort to crack down on crime.
Walz says, “none of this is normal.”
But adds that it would be logical for them to come here since Minnesota falls into what they look like they are trying target… blue cities in places that he wants to make an impact.
