CLEVELAND, Ohio – Air travelers in Cleveland and across the country are urged to monitor the status of future flights due to ongoing staffing shortages during the federal government shutdown.

Numerous airports – including Nashville, Chicago O’Hare, Phoenix and others – have reported significant flight delays in recent days that are attributed to air traffic control staffing shortages.

So far, the delays have not directly affected Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. But travelers flying into and out of Cleveland may be inconvenienced by delays elsewhere.

The federal government shutdown entered its eighth day Wednesday, with no end in sight.
