Strasburg’s long-talked-about Ram Trail is officially in motion.
Town officials on Monday approved appropriating $40,000 in donated funds to launch the community art project, which will feature eight six-foot-tall aluminum ram sculptures placed around town, including one at each of Strasburg’s three schools.
Each ram will be painted by a local artist to reflect the town’s character and heritage. The project will be funded entirely through community donations and managed by the town as restricted funds dedicated to purchase, painting, repair, and maintenance.
Finance Director Angie Stine said the appropriation will appear in FY 2026 accounts, ensuring every dollar remains earmarked for the installations. No taxpayer dollars will be used.
