Did your quarterback pass the test this past weekend? Was your running back unstoppable across the board on Sunday? Did your tight end make that key block that doesn't show up on the stat sheet but completely changed the direction of the game?
Welcome to the weekly Pro Football Focus grading room, where we will break down the top five graded players from each skill position after the most recent round of games in the 2025 season.
Here's who led the quarterbacks class in week five.
(Must have played at least 20 snaps to be eligible for the ranking.)
Baker Mayfield (92.2)
It was another remarkable week in the resurgent career that is Baker Mayfield. A few years ago, he was on the verge of being out of the league entirely, and now we're seeing him become a Buccaneers legend in front of our own eyes. He faced off with fellow 2018 NFL Draft first-rounder Sam Darnold and the Seattle Seahawks, and the two went back and forth throwing bombs, with Mayfield exiting the victory.
Mayfield threw for 379 yards while maintaining an 87.9% completion accuracy. If the former No. 1 overall pick can continue this level of play, an MVP award isn't out of the question.
Tua Tagovailoa (90.5)
At a time when the Dolphins are floundering and everyone from the field to the front office has their backs against the wall, Tagovailoa wants to prove he is the quarterback of the present and future for Miami. In a heartbreaking defeat to the Carolina Panthers, Tagovailoa did all he could with three touchdowns and a clean game with no interceptions.
Jayden Daniels (85.9)
There were numerous questions surrounding sophomore superstar Daniels heading into the game with the Chargers. Were the Commanders pushing their face of the franchise too hard when his health was in question? Although he's not entirely 100%, the dynamic Daniels showed why the Commanders lean on him so heavily, putting up a tidy game where he didn't need to overexert himself with his legs to put away a formidable Chargers defense en route to a win.
Justin Herbert (84.1)
Funnily enough, here stands Herbert, the man who had to go against Daniels this past weekend. Unlike Daniels, Herbert was in a role where he needed to take more risks and throw himself more into the line of fire, making more aggressive throws to try to give his team a chance after falling behind in the second half.
Although his overall stats weren't pretty to look at (226 yards combined through the air and run, an interception, and only one touchdown), PFF graded him highly both on his passing and run game, near the top for the week in both categories.
Matthew Stafford (80.6)
Our final gold star student for the week, the 37-year-old Stafford, is having one of the best starts of his career. While the Los Angeles Rams couldn't complete the full comeback against a hamstrung San Francisco 49ers squad on Thursday, little to no blame can be attributed to Stafford, who was meticulous and heroic in the second half. Each time a Rams player would make a mistake, Stafford would clean it up with a 40-yard bomb down the field or a key first down to Puka Nacua.
On a typical weekend, 389 yards, three touchdowns, and zero interceptions would be more than enough to get the win. Sean McVay agrees, apologizing in his post-game press conference that taking the ball out of Stafford's hands in overtime was a call he wishes he could get back.
