Jack Eichel just hit the jackpot.
The star Golden Knights forward inked an eight-year, $108 million contract extension to remain in Vegas for the long haul, according to multiple reports on Wednesday.
Eichel becomes just the latest talented player from the 2015 draft class to sign an extension in recent days, with Connor McDavid (Oilers), Kirill Kaprizov (Wild) and Kyle Connor (Jets) all doing so with their respective squads on the cusp of the season.
The 28-year-old Boston University product was set to become a free agent after this season, but now becomes the highest-paid player in Golden Knights history.
The Golden Knights open their season at 10 p.m. on Wednesday night against the Kings.
