BELOIT, Wis. (WTVO) — Willie Garrison, the superintendent of the Beloit School District, has announced his resignation effective at the end of the year.
Garrison has served as superintendent since 2022 and has been with the district for three years. The district will begin the search for his successor in the coming weeks.
In a statement, Garrison expressed pride in the district's accomplishments and thanked the staff, families, and community members for their support.
Garrison began his career in education in 2002 in Milwaukee before moving to Brown Deer and then to Beloit.
He highlighted the achievements of the students during his tenure as a significant point of pride.
The Beloit School District will soon start the process of finding a new superintendent to continue the work Garriso
