MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The Morgantown Ronald McDonald House cut a ribbon Wednesday to celebrate its 35th anniversary and recent major renovations and expansions made to the house.

Over that span, the Ronald McDonald House has been a safe haven for families with children seeking medical care in nearby hospitals, as it has provided free and home-like accommodations for those temporarily residing there.

Originating in 1990 with only 16 bedrooms available, the Ronald McDonald House was delighted to recently make necessary adjustments and expansions to the house, which now allow them to have 27 rooms available for families in need.
