LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — He immigrated from Zacatecas to the U.S. about 40 years ago with nothing but hope and determination to make it in America. Today, his voice echoes through every La Bonita Supermarket in Las Vegas.

“Alta caldiad, bajos precios, ¡WOW!”

Victor Flores, or affectionately known as “Mr. Wow” by locals, said the road to becoming the face of La Bonita Supermarkets was paved with hard work, humility and love for his community.

“We did the first project, and it aired. When the children heard it, they heard the ‘Wow!’ They really liked it, and they were the ones who accepted me,” Flores said.

Flores started selling newspaper ads to local businesses, and that’s when he walked into the then-small grocery store called La Bonita.
