The Issue: Pam Bondi’s responses to Democrats during her Senate Judiciary Committee testimony.

I was shocked watching Attorney General Pam Bondi respond to questions from Democratic senators with personal insults, while their Republican colleagues remained silent ( “Bondi grills her grillers,” Oct. 8).

I’m not saying congressional hearings in the past weren’t contentious; they most certainly were.

But previous lawmakers never would have allowed their fellow committee members to be subjected to the kinds of demeaning insults Bondi was hurling.

If you ask me, the GOP’s silence on Tuesday was clearly deafening.
