Nike is paying homage to aviation history with its new release, the Air Max RK61 x Air Afrique Beige and Black . The shoes mark the brand’s first collaboration with Air Afrique, a former airline and now a Paris-based creative collective.

The duo’s new shoes will be a dressier look that has a sporty attitude. They’ll go live on Thursday, Oct. 9, at 10 a.m. ET for $210 a pair.

Although it’s just a shoe, for these brands, the silhouette is where heritage, craft design and innovation meet. The style is reminiscent of a time when travelers returned home dressed in their finest clothing.
