As the federal government shutdown enters its eighth day on Wednesday, the impact is being felt across Greater Cincinnati.

For the duration of the five-day event, the U.S. Coast Guard Heartland division is setting temporary water restrictions for part of the Ohio River.
Operations remain in tact, but an Oct. 1 social media post indicates information would not be actively managed "due to the lapse in federal funding."
