House Democrats are pressing the Trump administration for answers in the ongoing scandal around border czar Tom Homan.

In a letter sent to Department of Justice Associate Attorney General Stanley Woodward, Democratic lawmakers lambasted the White House’s “conflicting and increasingly desperate statements” in response to allegations of bribery leveled at Homan.

“We write now to follow up and demand that you answer fundamental questions,” the letter read. “Who knew about the Homan cash bribery scandal, when did they know it, and why was Mr. Homan appointed ‘Border Czar’ even in the face of such damning evidence of his taking bribes for government contracts?”
