GAFFNEY, S.C. (WSPA) -- A Gaffney cancer treatment center will host free prostate cancer screenings on Thursday.
Gibbs Cancer Center will be conducting screenings from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at its Hyatt Street location.
Leaders with Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System said prostate cancer is the second most common cancer diagnosis among Cherokee County residents.
Men ages 50 to 70 are eligible for a free screening if they are uninsured, do not have a primary care provider and have not had a prostate-specific antigen (PSA) test in the past 12 months.
The event will include bloods tests only; no physical exams will be performed.
