ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - For weeks after the May 16th tornado, non-profits stepped up to meet the needs of victims, but that help is starting to wind down.

Some are still with out power, a safe place to live and other necessities.

But one man is making it his mission to make sure his community is taken care of.

In the heart of the tornado path, it’s easy to see the destruction that remains. But beyond the damage, a sign of love lingers.

“This is what God put in my hands,” said Larry Gray.

Since May 17th, Larry had been at the corner of Newstead and Ashland in north St. Louis.

“In the beginning, my plan was just to feed a couple of my neighbors,” he said.

But it turned into something bigger.

“He feeds not 1, 3, 4, 5 people. He feeds about 100 people a day,” said Linzel Baker
