CACHE COUNTY – Peaceful demonstrations against the Trump administration will resume on Saturday, Oct. 18 when local activists stage another “No Kings” protest here.
That event is slated for 1 to 2:30 p.m. in the square at the Historic Cache County Court House.
Sponsored by WeThePeopleCacheValley, that gathering will be part of a nationwide day of non-violent protest aimed at showing resistance to President Donald Trump’s authoritarian policies, according to Jim Evans, one of the local organizers.
“We will rally, march and meet to express our support for democracy and the rule of law,” Evans emphasizes. “This peaceful day of action is going to bring together local residents from all walks of life who share a simple message: ‘We don’t do kings in America’.”
