LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- Residents in an east Las Vegas valley community say a homeless encampment near Boulder Highway has grown quickly – bringing trash, tents, and safety concerns.

For neighbors like Mark Dabbis, the area near Boulder Highway and Indios Avenue has changed dramatically.

“It’s really bad, especially at night, so I try not to come here at night. Even here at 7-Eleven, they always have problems,” Dabbis said.

Behind the 7-Eleven, just steps away from Arizona Charlie’s, tents crowd the empty lot.
