Nellore (Andhra Pradesh) [India], October 9 (ANI): Senior Congress leader and former Union Minister Chitna Mohan on Wednesday strongly condemned the recent attack on Chief Justice of India ( CJI ) Bhushan Ramkrishna Gavai, calling it an unprecedented and deeply distressing incident in the history of the country.

Demanding strict action against those responsible for the attack, Mohan argued that the attack on CJI Gavai sets a "bad precedent" and was reflective of the condition of the Scheduled Castes in the country.

"It is a heinous stain. The man who threw the shoe at him is not apologetic at all. He has taken it as a pride. It sets a bad precedent, and it is not supposed to happen to anybody. However, it happened to a judge who belongs to the Scheduled Caste. This is the situation
