GRESHAM Ore. (KPTV) - A man accused of sexual abuse and rape is wanted on a nationwide warrant after he failed to show up for the second day of his trial on Wednesday, according to the Gresham Police Department.

Sammy Lisero Cardoza is facing the following charges:

First-degree sexual abuse.

First-degree unlawful sexual penetration.

Two counts of first-degree sodomy.

Cardoza appeared for the first day of his trial on Monday in Multnomah County Circuit Court, police said.

However, on Wednesday morning, Multnomah County pre-trial probation officers were notified that Cardoza had removed his GPS ankle monitor. Then, he failed to appear for the second day of his trial and a nationwide warrant was issued for his arrest.
