7:40 update: Madison police reported Johnson Jr. has been located safe.
MADISON, Wis. -- Madison police asked the community Wednesday to keep an eye out for a 13-year-old boy who left his home on the south side over the weekend and hasn't been heard from since.
A parent reported that they woke up Saturday to find a note from their son, Deon Johnson Jr., saying he needed to leave. Police have followed up on all of his frequented locations, and he has not reached out to his parent. He was reported missing from the 600 block of Buick Street, which is near Penn Park.
Johnson is 5'6" tall, 170 pounds with short dark black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white shirt, green shorts and tan shoes.
News 3 Now has reached out to Madison police for a photo of Johnson.
