CINCINNATI —
After three straight losses with Jake Browning at quarterback, the Cincinnati Bengals are moving in a different direction at the game’s most important position.
Sunday’s game will be the Bengals’ first with new quarterback Joe Flacco at the helm. He was named the starter by head coach Zac Taylor over Browning, who is 0-3 in his starts since Joe Burrow went down with a toe injury that required surgery. Advertisement
The 2012 Super Bowl MVP with the Baltimore Ravens, Flacco has played 18 seasons in the NFL, played in 16 playoff games and thrown 259 career touchdown passes.
Flacco didn’t enjoy much success in four games with Cleveland this season, throwing two touchdowns and six interceptions before being benched in favor of rookie Dillon Gabriel.
