The Detroit Tigers entered Game 4 of the American League Divisional Series needing a win. The Seattle Mariners won Game 1 and 3 to come within one victory of the ALCS. However, a trio of home runs from Gleyber Torres, Javier Baez, and Riley Greene propelled Detroit to a 9-3 win. Greene's solo shot gave the Tigers a lead they did not give up en route to a dominant effort.

The outfielder was one of many All-Stars that represented Detroit in the Midsummer Classic. Greene emerged as the Tigers' premier offensive threat this season as the team put together a dominant campaign. However, his swing against Eduard Bazardo might have been the biggest of his season.

Greene told Major League Baseball that he did not know what was going on during the play.
