Creekview will be searching for redemption Friday when it hosts Pope, looking to cleanse its palate after a one-point overtime loss to Sprayberry last week.

The Grizzlies (3-4, 3-1) were the final undefeated team left in Region 6AAAAA before last weekend, but they are now one of five teams tied at 3-1 in region play.

Each game becomes more important as Creekview eyes a return to the playoffs.

“Our guys are starting to play good football at the right time,” Grizzlies coach Trevor Williams said. “(Sprayberry) is a really talented football team, and we have to find a way to fight for one more play, that’s what it boiled down to. That’s been the focus all week.”
