The Chicago Cubs used a big first inning and strong bullpen pitching to beat the Milwaukee Brewers 4-3 at Wrigley Field Wednesday.

Pete Crow-Armstrong drove in two runs with an RBI single in the first inning, and the Cubs' bullpen allowed one run over five innings as they kept their postseason hopes alive.

The first inning once again featured plenty of drama as the Brewers jumped out to an early lead. With runners on first and second with one out, William Contreras lofted a high pop-up on the infield that the Cubs couldn’t corral, loading up the bases.

Sal Frelick then hit a sacrifice fly to left field, giving the Brewers a 1-0 lead.

Quinn Priester started the game for Milwaukee, but was unable to get out of the first inning as the Cubs put up their biggest inning of the series so far.
