DETROIT — Riley Greene says he blacked out after hitting the longest home run by any player this season at Comerica Park.

The Detroit Tigers’ star left fielder said he couldn’t hear the fans or anything else as he rounded the bases, putting his team ahead of the Seattle Mariners in Game 4 of the American League Divisional Series with a 454-foot blast to right field.

The mammoth home run was one of many crucial hits that helped boost the Tigers to a 9-3 win and keep their postseason hopes alive after facing elimination.

But after a rough start to the series for Greene, hitting a home run at Comerica Park for the first time since Aug. 24 was a welcome feeling.
