Viking classic car show rolls into town

The Viking Charities Classic Car Show returns to downtown Solvang on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., featuring cars, trucks and motorcycles made before 2000, as well as motorcycles with sidecars, and newer specialty class vehicles including customized of every make, model and type.

The show is free for spectators, and will take place on Copenhagen Drive near Solvang Park.

SY Chumash Culture Day returns next Saturday

The Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians will host California-style Native American singing, dancing, food and games at the 19th annual Santa Ynez Chumash Culture Day from noon to 9 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 19, at the corner of Highway 246 and Meadowvale Road in Santa Ynez.
