Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has said that the Glazers will not intervene in a decision to sack head coach Ruben Amorim .

The United boss has found himself under pressure this season after a slow start to the new Premier League season. The side currently sit in 10th place in the table, having picked up 10 points from their opening seven league games.

A 2-0 win over Sunderland in their last outing has eased some of the talk around the manager’s future for now, but another dip is likely to see it reignited.

Ratcliffe will be one of the key decision-makers when it comes to Amorim’s future. While he understands the frustration of some fans, the co-owner has hinted that he is prepared to give the manager more time.
