AMES, Iowa —

The season is almost here, and Tamin Lipsey wants to be on the floor when it starts. The 2025 Honorable Mention All-American suffered a Grade 2 MCL sprain to his right knee back on Sept. 23, sidelining him for 4-6 weeks. That means late October would be the earliest he could come back.

The first exhibition game is Friday, Oct. 17 at Creighton. Lipsey would not be ready for that. He could be in line to play when ISU hosts Northwestern on Sunday, Oct. 26, in the final exhibition game. The season opens Monday, Nov. 3, with a home game against FDU.
