The Tulsa International Airport is seeing normal operations as other airports deal with delays tied to the government shutdown.

It seems like a typical day of travel at the airport with seemingly no lines at the security check-in. It's a relief for Pauline Tom, who's been dealing with the headache of delays regarding her flight back home to Texas.

"It was supposed to get in at 10:00," she said. "Then 11:00. Then I looked again, 11:30. Then I thought, we may not get home tonight at all. This isn't looking good."

Tom is in town to see The Outsiders musical and planned to hang around Tulsa for the day. However, the only sightseeing she is doing involves an earlier trip to the airport.

"I'm cautiously optimistic but believing God has a plan," she said.
