There were no injuries to officers after a police shooting in Queen Creek near Chandler Heights and Ellsworth roads, the Queen Creek Police Department said in a Facebook post .

"This is an active investigation. Please avoid the area," the post said.

Updates will be provided as they become available, according to the post.

There was no known threat or danger to the community, the post said. Details on a possible suspect were not known as of 5:45 p.m. Oct. 8.

There have been at least 58 police shootings in Arizona so far in 2025, with at least 40 of them fatal.
