LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - The city of Lexington is asking residents to help shape the future of downtown through a comprehensive master planning process that aims to identify opportunities and challenges for the area’s development.

Andrew Overbeck, one of the consultants working with the city and community on the downtown master plan, said the public input sessions are crucial for understanding community priorities.

“Generally, asking people what they want to see more of in downtown, what are the challenges, what are the opportunities — that gives us a sense of where the community would like downtown to go in the future,” Overbeck said.
