POLAND Poland Township Trustees voted on Wednesday not to move forward with prior plans to build a cell tower.
The tower would have been located near the township's administration building.
The Wednesday decision comes after community members expressed concerns about where the tower would have been located, and the possible effects it would have had on property value and health.
Eric Ungaro, a Poland Township Trustee, spoke to 21 News about concerns that residents had brought to them, and the ultimate decision not to go forward with building a cell tower.
"We were exploring putting in a cell tower here through Verizon. Nothing was ever signed, but we were going in that motion, and some citizens caught wind, and they started asking a lot of questions," said Ungaro.
Ungaro continued,"
