NEW YORK — The ghosts of all-time Yankees in Monument Park that willed Aaron Judge’s signature October home run to stay fair and strike the foul pole on Tuesday night now have been waiting 16 seasons for a reason to take a trip down to the Canyon of Heroes.
They’ve watched from high above Yankee Stadium in the Bronx as teams overflowing with talent decked in pinstripes have fallen short of the standard they set a century ago.
