BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — An LSU Football legend is to be recognized during the South Carolina matchup for his career with the Tigers.

According to LSU Athletics, Doug Moreau was a tight end, wide receiver and kicker for the Tigers from 1962 to 1965. He will be recognized on the field during the first quarter of the homecoming game.

Moreau was a three-time letterwinner, helping LSU to a win over Syracuse in the 1965 Sugar Bowl and a victory over Arkansas in the 1966 Cotton Bowl.

The athlete then went on to play for the Miami Dolphins in 1966 with 73 catches, 926 yards, and six touchdowns. He played in the NFL for four seasons.

After suiting up on the field, Moreau went on to join the football radio and television broadcast for 52 seasons, beginning in 1972 through 2023.
