SOMERVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Friday night's win over Scottsboro was a big win for the Brewer Patriots in multiple ways.

It was the team's second win of the year and their second win ever over the Wildcats, a team that hadn't lost a region game at home since 2021, was ranked in the top 10 in 5A and was celebrating homecoming.

"Everybody fought together, we had some adversity, we had about 20 false start penalties on our own on offense, Scottsboro would do a shift, and it would cause some of our guys to flinch, some of them actually fired off, so we overcame a little bit of adversity and just they all fought together," Brewer Head Coach Jordan Miller said.
