KAUKAUNA, Wis. (WBAY) - A civics class in Kaukauna is helping students make their community a better place.

For a group of seniors who took on Mr. Roehrig’s elective class, it’s more than reading about concepts in a book.

They’ve been raising funds and gathering renderings for a beloved hill in their community.

“We just wanted to push this project forward. We have all the tools now, we just need to get the funding for it,” says Peyton V.

The group of Kaukauna High School seniors saw Grignon Hill as an opportunity to take it from a regular hill to an amazing opportunity for all of the community, and it’s all part of their civic engagement course.
