The Australian Federal Police (AFP) has confirmed it anticipates more ISIS brides to return to Australia in the future.
This follows the recent return of a group of two women and four children who managed to smuggle themselves out of Syria and into Lebanon.
Shadow foreign affairs minister Michaelia Cash asked AFP Assistant Commissioner Stephen Nutt in Senate Estimates if more ISIS bride arrivals were expected.
"Yes, Senator," Mr Nutt said, adding that he "can't say for certain" how many more women and children were anticipated.
