NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – More than 17,000 people work for the state of New Mexico, but for years, those jobs and their pay scales have been a wild west of hiring, without many rules. But that is about to change. After years of no clear definition on pay scales and job titles for state workers, the state now has new, clear-cut rules and an online portal.
