Almost a year ago, now-freshman quarterback Bryce Underwood had an unexpected visitor. Underwood was set to play one of his final games as a high schooler, a mere month before he jolted the college football world by flipping his commitment to the Michigan football team.

The Wolverines’ efforts, as it later came out, were extensive. They were all hands on deck keeping Underwood at home, most visibly with monetary compensation. Surely a lot more went into Underwood’s decision, although many considerations are probably vaulted in Underwood’s head.

Now-freshman wide receiver Andrew Marsh, who committed to Michigan three months before Underwood, wanted to be part of the pitch. So, he made an impromptu appearance.
