There may not be a Fab Five in the Big Ten this season, but we here at PennLive can settle for a Terrific Three.

Penn State is not in that group, and James Franklin’s program is not in our latest top five after what happened at the Rose Bowl on Saturday.

1: Ohio State (5-0, 2-0). The Buckeyes continue to hammer away at teams, the latest victim being Minnesota. The Buckeyes bludgeoned the Golden Gophers 42-3, outgaining P.J. Fleck’s program 474-162 in yards.

Ohio State quarterback Julian Sayin completed 23 of 27 passes for 326 yards and three touchdowns, two of them going to wideout Jeremiah Smith. But Carnell Tate had a bigger day, catching nine passes for 183 yards and a touchdown.
