The Delhi Police Tuesday busted a large-scale adulterated ghee manufacturing racket, seizing 2,651 litres of spurious ghee and arresting two manufacturers following raids in the capital and neighbouring Haryana.

Acting on a tip-off, a Crime Branch team carried out raids at two godowns, one in North West Delhi ’s Budh Vihar and another in Jind, Haryana. The police recovered adulterated ghee packaged under labels of several popular brands. The accused have been identified as Raksesh Garg, 38, and Mukesh.

According to the police, 2,241 litres were seized from a godown owned by Garg in Budh Vihar, while another 410 litres were recovered from a unit in Jind belonging to one Mukesh. The Jind facility has been sealed, and both accused have been booked under relevant sections at the Crime Bran
