Kozhikode : In response to the attack on a doctor at the Thamarassery Taluk Hospital in Kozhikode district, government doctors across Kerala will observe a statewide protest
The protest, organized by the Kerala Government Medical Officers’ Association (KGMOA), is aimed at drawing urgent attention to the increasing incidents of violence against healthcare workers and the government’s alleged inaction on long-standing demands for hospital security.
“I am working here at the Taluk hospital for the past 3 years. Dr Vipin has been here for the past 3 years. We still dont understand what mistake has Dr Vipin done to anyone. He has been working day in and out. We are concerned about the safety and security of the doctors”, said Dr Kiran, a physician at the Taluk hospital in Thamarassery.
